Remembering Whitney

I can’t believe it’s been a year since Whitney Houston died. We all remember where we were when we first heard the news. Whitney meant something to the older generation as they grew up to her music, remembering how she started and what she achieved during the years of her fame. A respected young black woman, God fearing and The Voice that we will never experience again gracefully took music to another level. She broke barriers no other female singer artist could do, selling over 200 million records worldwide, became the first black female artist to receive heavy rotation. She died at a young age and still had more talent to give but God wanted her more.

Without Whitney we wouldn’t have many artists’ as we do today, so I pay my respects to her. Rest in Peace Whitney you are sadly missed.

2013 is the year of the Comebacks

Stand the f**k down and give room for the royalty to step in. Real music is back and is gonna kick all the Nicki Minaj's outta the way. I'm sick and tired of all this dance music taking over urban radio and claiming itself as "R&B". Real music is coming back to rule the throne once again.

Justin Timberlake announcing a new album later in the year and earlier releasing the new single Suit & Tie bringing back the sound of 2000's.


Destiny's Child are back together (backing Beyoncé on stage for the Superbowl) bringing back the old memories when real music was good even though we didn't much of them and just Beyoncé's voice it was still good to see them together again on stage.


Beyoncé is going on WORLD TOUR Mrs Cater Show.

Nelly is back with a different sound.

Beware Valentines is Near

As we come into the new year we have another occasion to look forward to which I dread so much, Valentines Day is coming very soon. In fact it's this week on Thursday and I hate it. To be honest I'm more jealous than anything for whoever has a valentine whereas I have none. I won't be receiving any cards, roses, chocolate or a cute teddy bear because no one loves me. But I not going to cry *wipes tears* because I have me, myself and I and that's all I need.

But I also hope those who have a valentine enjoy the day and remember that valentine's day shouldn't be just for one day but everyday.
